story of woman who almost died from swine flu b/c she “decided the swine-flu vaccine was too risky for her family”
Unless she has asthma or something, which is not mentioned, she could not have gotten a vaccine in Seattle in time to prevent the illness. She was already in the hospital on Nov. 2. Maybe vaccines were available to all sooner in Chicago?
maybe, maybe not. the health department in some cities were giving them to anyone who showed up at their clinics.
what gets me is that she got sick and THEN told a reporter that she had decided in the fall that she wasn’t going to risk getting the vaccine.
i would have kept my mouth shut.
