Ha, Becca beat me to it. The bypass is actually a major improvement. Yet still totally retarded because it only goes to/from the north. I still don’t get WHY they didn’t build on/off ramps to the south. People who live south of Nasa Road 1 (like I soon will) don’t want to have easy access to work??? Stupid.

NASA Parkway is brand new. Before construction finished, there would be one big traffic jam that began in the suburbs on the other side of 45 all the way to the space center. Trust me, major improvement. Like where Sarah and Jose have built their new house, the commute time is probably down to 20 minutes or so from 45 minutes. Its not just that one light, NASA Road 1, which it bypasses, has about a dozen stop lights, a school zone, and a 30 mph zone between the highway and that one light it goes over. Even to my house, I used to leave work and go the opposite way around clear lake (more mileage, less traffic) before they built that bypass.

ok, as if you care about clear lake traffic patterns. But the bypass is a godsend.

yes, gun racks and the hanging bag of balls are popular fixtures here. i also go home to Philadelphia nad realize in the rest of the world, every car on the road is not a truck or suv.

I walked for grad school. But our diplomas were given out in small department-only ceremonies, so it was just me and the ~25 other AE master’s students.

i didn’t walk for my graduate school commencement ceremony, either. i agree that it’s odd that so few aren’t!

and there’s nothing wrong with being a proponent of the oxford comma. however, being the ap style maven that i am, i will always omit the the last comma in a list before a conjunction (unless it is specifically needed to avoid confusion).

It has actually been quite pleasant the last few days — warm, but very low humidity. By Saturday the humidity will probably be back though. Sorry. Shrug.

I saw part of that finale. One of the women was 117 lbs. I feel it’s a little sketchy. Some people lose 60% of their weight. What if you started at 2X your minimum healthy weight? You might have to go down to 95 lbs or something!
